Step-by-step guidance for every section of your HOD / Manager dashboard. Click a section below to expand it.

👨‍🎓 Students — managing your roster›

Add one student: click ＋ Add Student, fill in Name, Roll No, Email, Branch and CGPA, then Save.
Add many at once: click ⬆ Import CSV / XLS and upload a spreadsheet with columns for Name, Roll, Email, Branch, CGPA and Skills.
Find a student: type a name, roll number or email into the search box, or pick a branch from the All Branches dropdown.
Sort the list: click any column header that shows ⇅ (Name, Roll No, Branch, CGPA, Avg Score) to sort ascending or descending.
Export the roster: click ⬇ Export CSV or ⬇ Export XLSX to download what's currently on screen.
Remove students: tick the checkboxes on the left, then click 🗑 Delete N selected.

Example: To find your top Computer Science students, pick "Computer Science" from All Branches, then click the Avg Score column header twice so the highest scorers appear first.

📊 Performance — batch-level insights›

Read the KPIs: "Students Practiced" shows how many have used Renshu at least once; "% of Roster Practicing" and "Avg Points" only count students who attempted something; "Not Practised Yet" flags students who haven't started.
Narrow by branch: use the Branch dropdown to see one department at a time instead of the whole college.
Spot top & weak performers: check the Top Performers and Needs Attention lists to decide who to recognize or follow up with.
Compare departments: scroll the Branch-wise Performance table at the bottom to see every branch side by side.

Example: If Computer Science shows 40/50 practiced with a 72% pass rate, but IT shows only 8/20 practiced, IT students likely need a reminder nudge before the next placement drive.

🏆 Ranking Board — how scores are calculated›

Understand the formula: each student's score blends Quality (40%), Breadth across topics (25%), Volume of practice (20%), daily Streak (10%) and Assignment performance (5%).
Refresh: click ↻ Refresh to pull the latest standings — this is the same board students see on their own dashboard.
Use it for recognition: share top ranks to motivate students, or quietly flag low ranks to offer support.

Example: A student who scores 90% on every quiz but only practiced 2 days won't outrank a student who practiced 15 days at 75% — Volume and Streak count too, not just accuracy.

☁️ Data Sync — backing up your data›

Quick option — no setup: under Local Archive, click Download Full Archive (.xlsx) any time for an instant snapshot of your roster, assignments and performance data.
Ongoing backups — pick a folder: choose a provider tile (Google Drive / OneDrive / Dropbox), then click 📂 Browse and select that provider's folder on your computer (the one its desktop app already syncs to the cloud for you).
Set frequency: choose Manual, Daily or Weekly under Sync Frequency, and tick what to include (Student Profiles, Assignments, Performance Data).
Run it: click 🔄 Sync Now for an immediate backup, or ⚡ Enable Auto-Sync so it happens automatically going forward.

Example: Before a big CSV import, click Download Full Archive (.xlsx) under Local Archive first — that gives you a safety copy in seconds without needing to set up cloud sync at all.
